  The Midland is an exceptional tapas restaurant ( and I am writing this whilst on a visit to Madrid!) . Tapas there is made from fresh local ingredients where possible and is innovative and always delicious. The restaurant staff are not only efficient and courteous but also give a warm and personal welcome despite being often very busy. Missing the grilled cauliflower florets - were they spiced with garam marsala?

  Underwhelming. The limited menu was unconvincing, as if made by someone who has only heard tapas described. Portion sizes were highly variable and unpredictable. Waiter lost track of which dishes had been delivered and which had not. Some took 45 minutes to arrive, after prompting. French wine. It may be "the best tapas on Anglesey" but I'm guessing it's the only one too. Okay, nothing more.

  Good place, food is tasty. Some dishes could be a bit too spicy for kids. A bit pricier for your average diner place, but still worth visiting - nice atmosphere, helpful staff and large choice of tasty tapas stile dishes.
